J.J. Abrams (of 'Lost' and 'Alias' fame) has become fascinated with a weird New York City apartment and wants to produce a movie about it.
The story describes an Upper East Side family who hired an unconventional 35 year old architect to renovate their $8.5 million ’20s-era co-op with Central Park views. The father told the architect he wanted a poem he’d written embedded in a wall somewhere, and the architect took that as a cue to go completely nuts and, unbeknownst to the family until much later, fill their apartment full of clues, puzzles, and secret passageways as a sort of scavenger hunt/mystery game.
